I did just as you described. I bought 4 of the color version bulbs, I already had the bridge from a previous purchase. I have all 4 color bulbs in a ceiling fan. Honestly, I rarely use the color rather just the white, they illuminate the living room very well. I use it in conjunction with the Amazon Echo and love the convenience of being able to turn on/of dim all by voice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your fan has BR-30 Bulbs, then yes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You install a single $60 (actually, usually more like $40) bulb in your fan and put dummies in the other three slots. And a bridge. But I would add another lamp in the room for the color bulb and put monochrome Hue bulbs in the fan. But that's me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need a HUB if you don't already have on. You should only need one light to get the desired color you want. But, depending on how bright and colorful you want to get then obviously the more lights you have the more fun you can make your room.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you need the hub for sure, but you might be able to illuminate your entire room with two bulbs. Try with the starter kit that comes two bulbs and the hub and see how well you like them.
