• I don't think it works with any bulbs other than Philips Hue.

• Must be a Hue bulb. I have gotten GE lightify to work but its not easy. Supposedly any bulb that work off zigbee will work.

• It requires a special bulb, that contains the WiFi circuitry, and has the proper coding to communicate with the hub you are using... The Hue hub works with specific bulbs made by Philips, for the Hue system.
