Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the Hue Hub is required to control the lights. You'd need to add the hub to the Google hub, Amazon Echos use Skills, not sure what the Google Home uses, but it's the same concept.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From my understanding you will need the Hue bridge - You will be able to use the Google app and (or) the Google home hub to control the lights but it has to be done using the Hue bridge as the interface. Hope to help - TG

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.LIFx lights are wi-fi lights and do not require a hub and you don’t need a Hue Bridge - in fact, a Hue Bridge would work to control LIFx lights at all. They work with systems that use a hub, like Samsung SmartThings, but the Samsung hub doesn’t know about them directly but connects with a LIFx account, which in turn tells Samsung Hub about the LIFx lights. You can control the LIFx lights via Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, Amazon Alexa Hub, Google Assistant and Microsoft Cortana.
