• Concentrate is a BRIGHT setting, and with the App you can control the intensity, simple. I've been keeping it plugged in, at the night stand. use a power button on the base when I'm not using the lamp.

• Yes, the light works while plugged in. Yes, the light provides color options. Not sure how you would use the light at your work desk, as it can be very bright. Otherwise, it’s a great product.
