Make sure your phone/device is not switching between WiFi routers as this will mess up Sync. I was having similar issue bc my router was switching between my personal router and the public xfinity WiFi independently.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just an update on my question above. I reached out to Phillips support and had to unplug the router, the sync box and the Hue bridge, wait 20 seconds and then plug them all back in. This worked and I was able to get the sync box to connect and stay connected. It was super fun to see all the great color effects with the movies we watched!
