• No. This unit provides lighting synchronization by itself to any HDMI source. You do however need to also own philips hue lights and hub in order for it to work.

• Hello there! No it does not. In fact, this box was specifically created for TV entertainment such as Apple TV, Xbox One, PS4, etc... so you just connect these devices to the box, the box to the tv and then it is done!

• No. On other hand, the hue sync app on PC will allow you to do the same this device does for free.. albeit you connect the hdmi cable to TV , because casting can be a pain.. someone has mentioned plex supports the hue sync I saw it on YouTube.. but I didn't get to watch full video, look that up, if he meant hue sync box or hue sync app and how to set them of you are interested. This device doesn't require a laptop to be connected.

• It can work if your PC has a HDMI OUT. This is purely HDMI connections 4 inputs 1 output
