The cable box should run thru the receiver. The out HDMI that runs to the tv should run into the Sync box HDMI PORT 1. Then the out/tv from the Sync box runs to the tv. You do not have to change the optical cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If there are no HDMI sources being used, you should not buy this product. It requires use of HDMI sources. The theory is that this device sits between your cable box and TV and captures the video stream over HDMI to match the lighting and send it to hue bulbs. The video stream is left in tact and sent to the tv from the output of the sync box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It won't work unless you have hdmi out
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your tv iis HDMI connected just switch hdmi to sync box and sync box to tv. Should work just fine. No need to do anything to ur stereo.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All I can say is the sync box is HDMI only, it has no other connections available. That's not to say you can't use an adapter but I don't think that would work either because the box uses the HDMI signal to process the light show.
