“Can you use the 40w power supply or does it need to 100w power supply?”

• You can use either or. The 100w will just allow more lights to be connected together.

• You can use either power supply. I’m using the 100w power supply as I intend to add more and wanted to account for expansion beyond what the 40w can handle.

• The spot fixtures are 8 watts each. So long as the sum total wattage of lights connected is not higher than the wattage of the power supply, you should be fine.

• Yes, you can. The light uses 8w, so a 40w power supply can support 5 lights.
