No, no hub required
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You DO NOT need the hub to control the Hue Bluetooth LED lights. There is a Hue Bluetooth app for iOS and Android that is used to control the lights. If you have the hub, this Bluetooth light will also work with the hub and there are more controls in the standard Hue app. The Hue Bluetooth app lets you pair with the lights via Bluetooth, update firmware, and control the colors/brightness of the lights. I don't believe you can create rooms, set timers, etc. with the Hue Bluetooth app (but if you have the hub, then you can do those things with the standard Hue app).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No hub is required for bluetooth lamps however if you have over 10 lights a hub will be required to connect them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not with this generation. You can control the lights through the bluetooth app. But if you want more features and out of home control you will need the bridge. The lights with bluetooth have the bluetooth icon on the box.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, but you can only control the bulb if you are near it if you are using your phone. You can't control it if you are away from home.
