• I know Hue makes motion sensors, but I'm unsure if they work with the outdoor fixtures. I know that if you have a Nest outdoor camera, you can link your Nest account to your Hue account and the Nest camera will act as a motion sensor to trigger the lights to come on.

• The simple answer is, yes. Phillips hue, is releasing an outdoor Motion sensor any day now. It might be already released and I don’t know it. It will let you turn any light on in the hue system including the front yard lights/floodlights. The motion sensor Will detect up to about 30 feet away. I’m going to buy one as soon as I can find it on sale. :-) Hope this helps.
