• I don't know I paid the $9 to geek squad for the 2-year repair so I have not experienced that yet and it also comes with a six month warranty inside the box

• if you bought a warranty it's usually a 2yr warranty. check your receipt or go to store and have them pull up your purchase so they can check the status of your warranty.
