Elac bookshelf speakers are 6 ohm or 4 ohm speakers, depending on the model. This Pioneer receiver has enough power to drive these speakers as long as you are not attempting to simultaneously use a second set of speakers connected to the B speaker terminals. If you plan to power two sets of speakers at the same time, both sets need to be 8 ohm speakers.
