Yes I believe they would be okay for a small area, not a large room. I'm using mine for rear Dolby Atmos. They use two (2) channels of the AVR the top has + & - post the lower has the same. So consider if you are ready to drive the entire speaker. I am adding a power amplifier five channels 120 wpc. My Yamaha is going to power all four channels of Dolby Atmos front and rear, my subwoofers two of them, my amplifier will power the LF,C,RF, SB left and right. My thing is primarily 4K Ultra HD movies, music is secondary. I hope this long explanation helps.
