• The adapters make it plug and play. If you don't use adapters you simply solder on new connectors. Either way works just fine.

• If you want a direct fit to your vehicle you must get the adapter plug specific to your vehicle(a pair comes in the package if purchased separately from BestBuy). If not, splicing is needed with push on fittings.
