Yes it will. I have a Motorola 5g Plus Android and the radio charges my phone when I use the USB cord. As long as you have the USB cord connected into the phone and the USB connection plug (Best Buy put the connection USB plug in my glove box) your phone will charge and play any music you have downloaded on the phone.
