“Hi, Curious about the wireless using both WiFI and BT in order for Carplay, etc to be wireless. Is the Wifi expected from an external source (i.e. Verizon HotSpot or the equiv). ? Or is just that your phone can be the HotSpot ? Thanks. Ron”

When you connect for wireless Apple CarPlay, the phone connects to the radio via WiFi and Bluetooth. You do not need to have a hotspot for this to function. If needed, please contact our Product Support at 1-800-421-1404, select option 1. They will provide troubleshooting assistance.
