NO ~ Smart ROKU or Smart TV does NOT mean the ability to surf the internet - never has. It means it has the ability to shop for different apps like Prime, Netflix, Paramount etc. In the near future products like Alexa+ "may" be able to interface with the help of AI to the Internet (through your Modem and Router) and then to Alexa equipped Smart TV's.
