“If you are in a location in which you have no cell phone signal, is the navigation system still going to work?? I know Apple car play is on here and it uses the maps but what if you’re traveling on a long road trip and lose reception frequently??”

The quick answer is No. the GPS runs off your phone and is displayed on the larger screen. It is not a separate app like a stand alone Garmin would be. My cell phone, if the maps app is started in a strong service area and then I drive out of cell service range will keep going. But I can not start a new search if I’m out of the service area. Your phone may be different. Thanks
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Google maps allows you to download offline maps onto your phone for future use. Whenever you don’t have cell service just open google maps and use as normal (provided that you downloaded the map in that area before hand).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There’s no built-in navigation on this head unit. If you use the Waze app on your phone, it will still operate when signal is lost. Waze can be used through CarPlay, so it’s viewed on the screen of the head unit.
