MRRED, I had this unit installed in my 2004 Thunderbird. I know they did hook up to my windshield antenna as AM/FM reception is fine. I use Bluetooth almost exclusively to listen to Pandora, Spotify, or occasionally a CD. I did not opt for Satellite radio as I have this in my other vehicles, nor did I get a back up camera installed. I’m pretty sure this unit didn’t offer GPS although I would call a store to make sure. I have been very pleased.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No and No Sort of and Sort of It has a blue/white wire out that is for an amp. It can be used to extend a power antenna but you'll need a switch if you want to lower the antenna. Without a switch the antenna will always be up (whenever the car and stereo are on = it will go down when the car is off) It uses your phone's GPS but you have to plug the phone in to usb. It can only use one or two GPS apps: Navmii or Sygic I thnk. I found that its better in a lot of ways to use my phone for GPS and not try to see it on the stereo: My phone's screen is almost as big My phone's screen is better resolution I can tilt my phone to reduce glare I put put my phone where I want (nearer to me and the windshield) I can run whatever app I want on phone This one is complicated: I usually use Spotify for music (works great on this stereo) but Spotify isn't available when using the stereo's screen for GPS. I can hear my phone's nav voice when using the 601EX Bluetooth input (at the same time as Spotify as it always did). In Bluetooth mode the stereo will give me all spotify controls except changing playlists on it's screen. If I want to change playlists I can swap to the spotify app, make a change, and then back to Bluetooth to hear the nav voice. Very easy to do but you should pull over to a certified Pioneer service station before looking away from the road :D (this is better than doing it on your phone because the phone screen stays on GPS mode while you're staring at the console) So... no it doesn't have full GPS but your phone probably does. No, you need a switch to turn your antenna off (they are on by default).
