yes it will. its best if you run 5.1.2 for true atmos. whoever that bonehead is that said 7.1 is Atmos is wrong, 7.1 isn't adding height speakers its adding 2 extra mid side speakers.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.For a true Dolby Atmos experience you need at least a 7.1 speaker setup. Which means you need to connect speakers to the Height Surround inputs of the Pioneer Elite VSX-LX105 receiver, preferably in the ceiling. But if that’s not possible you can install a couple of Sony Dolby Atmos speakers, as I did, high up on the wall facing your listening position. See photo below .
