Is this a powered or passive speaker? null

This is not a battery powered speaker! Plug in only

I disagree with this Pioneer representatives answer. After buying 2 of these based on the answer given above, and thinking the first one was broken. IT DOES NOT HAVE AN INTERNAL BATTERY. SPEAKER MUST BE PLUGGED IN TO WORK. Unless I bought 2 faulty units in the same day.
