• Earpieces do not "leak" sound. And you, the user, can hear ambient sound. Once you know there is someone or something that you need to listen to carefully, you will want to take the earpieces out and just leave the strap hanging on your neck.

• Yes, most likely if it is noisy, it has microphone but it works better in Quiet environment as it does not have any active noise cancelling.
