Hi David. No, the Active Noise Cancelling technology uses additional microphones on the back of each speaker that respond well to low-frequency (80 to 700 Hz) background noise. These microphones pick up the background noise, feed it into the ANC circuitry, invert it, then direct it into the same audio path. This can only take place when using Bluetooth technology. When you turn it into a wired headset, it works only as a listening headset. The microphones won't work, hence ANC is not activated. Please note that at the moment we do not have a corded headset with ANC, though all of our corded headsets have noise-cancelling microphones. We hope this information helps.
