• Yes, this cable do it, as soon as you connect it to the tv you can adjust the output sound in the MacBook Sound settings (systempreferences>sound) and in there, you can select the output for the tv speakers -this has to be done on every new tv you get connected- Affordable option if you don’t want to spend a lot of $ with the AppleTv
