Yes. My husband does heavy yard work and builds furniture as a hobby. Its a good question one we had also. He feels very comfortable wearing the watch with this band.

The magnet is really strong to hold. I have had no problem with the the magnet watch band. It has held up better then the average band. Hope this helps.
