any thing that takes USB drive - great of putting songs, pictures, fils. some cars take those drives to play musi e.gyou can save couple of hundred songs and play in a your Caris compatible music system or save couple of hundred pictures on it from your computer and play them on a digital photoframe as slide show or best of all gift it to some who knows what to do with it. internet is full of video tutorials for use of USB drives.

The flash drive is to store pictures, videos, documents, contacts, your favorites list. I update mine every week so that if my computer ever crashes, I have all my information in a flash drive.

You plug it into a USB slot and copy files to move them from one computer to another or as a backup. For instance if there was a "Diary" you kept, you could put it just on this thing, then unplug it and only you have physical access to it. Or if you need to get 4 gig's of files from one pc to another, copy it onto your PNY then copy it to the other PC
