Will this work in a dell inspiron 5000 i7 laptop? null

Yes, basically the geek squad said there’s one for laptop and one for desktop. I bought this for my sons Dell - G7 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7- 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. Haven’t put it in yet waiting for him to open for Christmas. Geek squad told me it works for it though. If by chance it doesn’t you can still return it. Hope this helps.

consult this page there it will give you the diagnosis of your computer telling you how much RAM it supports and if it tells you that it supports more than 16 GB and goes to 2666 mhz or more up to 3200 mhz then you can choose that brand that is very good or a PNY that they are very compatible
