In your manual it should tell you the ram to purchase for your machine it may say something like DDR4-3000. On Acer's website you should be able to find a list of tested working RAM for your computer (these will be certified by Acer to work correctly), I would suggest you find that list and buy one of the sanctioned products for your computer. Memory is much easier to deal with today than it used to be and most likely any DDR4 laptop chip will work but if your machine has dual channel it may have some specifications that must be met or your RAM won't run full speed. If your machine has more than one memory slot you may also want to consider changing the pair of chips not just one. Acer most likely has a user's forum where you can ask for help as well.
