“I can't seem to get these devices to activate on my MacBook PRo 10.13.5. Also having trouble pulling them back fully into their sleeves. Comments? Suggestions?”

Same problem initially trying to pull back. These are designed to be pushed through. Push until a click can be heard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure the device is completely open - you have to push it hard until it 'clicks'. Otherwise it will look like it's extended all the way but isn't and won't go quite far enough into the USB port to connect.

I place the plug-in end of the drive against a straight, hard surface and push on the outer part to completely retract the drive. I am using a Windows device, so I cannot address the MacBook issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Used mine on different Windows OS computers and had no problem... you should try formatting the drive.... and you can use your thumb to help push it back in the sleeve
