Yes, that's general rule. Always have a backup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, are use them for the same purpose embroidering but I also back up to a hard drive the flash drives are known to go bad
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, definitely. While Flash drives are very handy to use, they are not the most reliable. The hard drive (or SSD) in your computer would be a good place to store files, but a CD as you mentioned would be even better. I always check the box for "read contents on any computer"
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Failure can always occur for various reasons. Practicing safe handling practices are always a great idea. I have all my flash drives backed up elsewhere (Desktop PC/Onedrive, Synology mirror backups, etc.) to prevent loss.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cds will fail more than usbs. Use ysbs and keep backups in case they fail
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They work fine with my wife's Brother machine when she does embroidery and haven't had an issue where we lose data. With that being said I have lost data on all kinds of devices over the years and it is always prudent to back up your data in at least three places in my opinion (depending on the data of course).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is always a risk of data loss I would always suggest backing up all your data to a second place that can be another drive or a cloud backup
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had a problem but I’m the type that likes to have a secondary back up and so I would and do back up anything important to cds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I run a music business in Columbia, AL and like you, my projects for customers have GOT TO BE BACKED UP. If you have the info on a flash drive, invest in a 2 TB (tera byte) external hard drive. Move the file (one you are finished) from the flash drive to your TERA BYTE for your archive. You will be glad you did. A two TB external hard drive is only 60-80 dollars AND for we small business owners (back up is imperative.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. One should always back up as much possible, to be on the safe side.
