• Hi Nicole, In reviewing the specs for your Inspiron, it takes DDR2 memory. The PNY - 8GB 1.6GHz PC3-12800 DDR3 Laptop Memory is not compatible with a system that takes DDR2 memory. You'd need to purchase DDR2 memory. Another consideration is that the Inspiron model you have appears to only be upgradeable to 4 GB of memory. Therefore, purchasing 8 GB of memory would not work for you.
