You can use this memory if it has the same pin count as the one you are replacing. It has to take PC 3 12800 memory or lower because it is backward compatible. If your laptop doesn't except it you have done no harm all you will get is a beep saying it isn't working.

That failing, take the model number to Best Buy and ask them. They won't steer you wrong. If you aren't sure about how to install the RAM, pay the Geek Squad to do it.
