The safe answer is "no", in the sense that your laptop can use a max of 8GB, and every source I can find suggests 2 4GB modules. I haven't found anyone who put in one 8GB module. If it were possible, the speed would be lower than 2 4GB modules. 2 8GB modules don't seem to be workable.
