• As long as the computer will recognize the drive you can install any operating system. Windows or Linux.

• As long as Vista has the drivers. However - Vista/Windows7 is no longer given security updates any longer so you really shouldn't use them. Pay $5 on eBay to get a Windows 10 license and use compatibility mode for any application that 'requires' vista.
