You should be able to copy files (photos, videos, etc) from any device that has a lighting connector or USB - as long as you have App downloaded on the Device you can play the music, videos or share photos through the device & via the APP. It also allows you to copy, or move the files onto any device like a laptop, iPad, iPhone or other, as long as it had the lightning connector or USB connection. It will definitely free up space for phones, iPads and other that have used up most of the memory! I paid a bit more on sale and bought the 128GB one for $39.99 @ BestBuy and was well worth it for extra storage space!
