• The answer is yes, it can be encrypted using a password for both IOS and Android. One thing to remember is to turn off the encryption before booting up to a computer. After ejecting the flash drive and using it on a smartphone turn the encryption back on. The only reasons for encryption is preventing un authorized people from accessing your files if you lose it.
