• A:Answer No, it’s just a mindless flash drive. It does make it easy to move files between devices. I also purchase a Photostick, very unhappy with it. It will copy over all photos on your instrument, however it puts them in on huge unmanageable file. Trying to find something is next to impossible. Good luck

• A:Answer Yes you can. You will need to download the app for the drive. It was very simple and easy to follow the instructions. I used it on my iPhone 8 to save my photos videos contacts and files before my Apple repair appointment. After my phone was replaced I was able to reconnect the thumb drive and reload all my photos videos files and contacts back to my new iPhone8.

• A:Answer I always take screen shots of important text messages that are stored as pics on my phone. Those pics can be easily transferred to your PC but depending on your needs this format may or may not be user friendly. You can insert a series of screen shots into a Words document etc and adjust the size of the images on the document before printing. On the plus side this method preserves the exact message and cannot be easily edited so it can be useful for legal or other applications where it is important to guarantee the originality of the source. Besides printing they can be easily attached to emails etc as well. On the down side most text exchanges (if not all) have a shaded text box for one of the correspondents to easily, quickly and clearly designate who wrote what which depending on your ink budget may not be so printer friendly. I always print B&W unless color is needed for something but either way that shaded background can waste a lot of ink. The other down side is that the text from a screen shot is not quite as clear as the original text. As long as you are not enlarging the text it should not affect readability with a decent printer.

• A:Answer I haven’t tried it, but I would think so. Once photos are transferred to the device, it functions just the same as any flash drive. Just make sure your TV can read the format in which the photo is taken on your device. iPhone photos, as I found out, are .heic files and not universally recognized by other devices. Simple solution is to get the free .heic converter app which converts the photos to .jpeg files.

• A:Answer I had trouble also & made an appointment with the Geek Squad. In order to save from your phone to the Duolink, there has to be the same amount of space on your phone to allow the transfer to work. I had to delete my apps to get the space & then it worked.

• A:Answer No you cannot backup an phone and restore one with this device. Unless you have a Mac to backup your iPhone 7 and restore most of your data to an iPhone 10 you need to use the iTunes app on a PC. Plug your phone into a PC (after installing iTunes) and open iTunes. You will need to log into your Apple iTunes account, go to the devices tab and make sure your iPhone 7 is connected to your account and select backup iPhone. You can Google “back up iPhone” for specific steps. If you are currently using the iPhone 7 and have your own Apple ID all your contacts and previous app purchases should automatically migrate over to the new iPhone when you register it with Apple using your same Apple ID. Pictures and documents etc will not automatically migrate so you could use this to move your pics, videos and documents to the USB drive (using their App) and copy them to your PC if desired. After these steps and settijng up your new iPhone you plug this device into your new phone and transfer or copy the pics onto your new iPhone. You will need to make sure the App for this device is on your new phone to access the date on the drive.

• A:Answer It will copy the picture form your iPhone to the device,it will mot delete but I think there is an option to delete if you opt that it will delete them from iPhone but I did not do that. So I do not remember what the setting was. You can read the included manual , download form their website and see what it can do for you if you like it you can buy it.
