- Answer No, I was able to access the drive after installing the app on my iphone. I then took my photos and videos from my iphone and installed them on my laptop so I did not have to pay for additional storage for icloud. Was easy but took some time since my photo file was large.

QuestionI have a 16 GB iPhone 6s. I want to use this not as a backup but rather to leave plugged into the phone each day as a way to permanently expand the memory to have more apps. The phone is always out of memory and is driving me NUTS. Is this possible?
