• It is not encrypted. It does not take up any space since it self contained. I have Mac.

• No, it does not include any encryption software nor does it contain any bloatware (if this is what you mean to "zero footprint.")

• It's not encrytped, and as for the footprint, I highly doubt its zero, mostly because almost no products are, no matter what the companies tell you. Before this idea gets dismissed, I spent time at a job evaluating companies for footprints, mostly in the water sector, but some in the carbon cycle, and its difficult to track those sorts of things, so they usually purchase carbon credits, which in my opinion, is just kicking the can down the road. TLDR: Not encrypted, no idea about the actual footprint.
