“bought a car that has only usb and I have plenty of cd’s. I am ripping cd’s to laptop then Honda told me to rip to 256 MB or higher usb I can format to WMA, AAC or MP3. Can I format this USB. I am stupid when it comes to things like this”

I loaded a quite a few gigs of different music files to plug into my cars USB port and it works perfect. No issues and this thing is fast so no music distortion. Didn’t have to format it so I can’t answer that but playback is fantastic.

Please try again later.The USB drive does not need to be formatted as long as your convert the music to the correct format (i.e. .wma, AAC & MP3 on your computer before transferring onto the flash drive & you should be good to go! BTW--I do this on my Windows 10 laptop, not sure if there is any difference if using a Mac, but don't think so.
