It will be a faster card with smoother transitions and richer detail. The value is whether you need this for your current programs. If your into serious gaming a consider a more powerful card. Otherwise if your current card is performing fine for basic programs and dual monitors you might not really notice the difference. If current GPU card is faulty than yes this is a great replacement.
