I’m scared to hook it to my backpacks, so I was wondering if the hook was safe enough for it to not fall off? null

It's quite sturdy. The photo doesn't reflect the quality of the clip but it appears to be very durable. I don't allow my daughter to clip hers on her backpack for fear of someone stealing the item but, I believe the clip would hold up just fine.

Yes, the hook is definitely safe enough to hook it to your backpack. I hook mine to the inside of my backpack and it stays put all day. I have quite a lot of heavy books and things that weigh down my backpack, and the hook to this still stays on. Like is said I hook mine on the inside, but if you want to hook yours to the outside it’s definitely going to stay.

I keep mine inside my purse. I wouldn’t put this one on backpack. My kids have the ones that go all the way around and are waterproof and those they put on their backpacks. Best Buy sells those too.
