• No, the FT4 does not have activity tracking capability (that would provide calories outside of an exercise session) - Mike@PolarUSA

• yes but make sure to start the watch and have the heart rate sensor on yourself.

• yes-if you have it on in that mode. You start, and stop it from tracking whenever you want

• No, you have to start a workout in order for this to start counting calories, unless you start the workout and sit on the couch! I hope you understand what I mean, its not like the fitbit that is counting calories and steps 24/7, you have to wear the heart rate monitor, too.
