My daughter loves video taping herself on her skateboard using her iphone and she loves making these time lapse videos, do you think this is good for a 13 yr old and does it have a time lapse option? Can you screw it on to a tripod (she has a few)? Would we need a separate accessory to attach this to a tripod? oh and does it snap regular photos?”

You can continuously record as long as it is plugged in or else the battery would die. Besides that, for the price point, size, and durability of the little thing I think it's a great option for anyone in that age range. If it doesn't turn out well, return it for something else. It will not work with a tripod though; but it does have a magnetic bottom. You can rig one or attach it to something metal (my car worked great) but it won't work with a tripod.
