• four AAAs apparently charge the lithium built into the front removable light, as well as the separate small lights on the large light front mount.

• Rechargeable batteries are not to be used on this product. It comes with AA batteries already installed. The headlight is very powerful.

• Hello, No, the MORF R230 uses 4AAA alkaline batteries. We do not recommend using a rechargeable battery for this headlamp. Best Regards, Customer Service
