“We just set up this new sound bar with our sharp roku tv and we cannot get it to work properly. Sound is coming out of the sound bar but it’s very very quiet and then randomly will be loud for a second then quiet again. Is this a defective product?”

Make sure optical cord is snapped into place . Also try digital audio cable to see if that works! If not it may be defective.
