• One speaker would be mono. I always think a pair fur stereo and quality of full range of sound.

• Hello Shawn, These are wired onto a single channel and will not provide stereo sound unless you have a pair of these towers. You could run one speaker but you will then only have mono sound coming from either the right or the left channel.
