“I noticed they say there is an AC cable. I thought these were passive speakers and only need the wires from the AMP to the two speaker connections. I'm also interested in a center channel and two bookshelf speakers and they all have the same information.”

It's probably an error on the website, as you said these speakers are passive and only need the wires that connect the speaker to the amplifier. In the case that you want to buy a sub you will need an RCA wire.
