“Just bought this sub today to replace a simple Onkyo sub. However it sounds like the back of a trunk on a car with sub power it makes a soft rattling and shaking sound. And it's not speaker cover because it still makes the same sound when it's off.???”

Sounds like there is something loose inside of the unit. I would call the store where it was pirchased to see how to get it repaired or exchanged for another unit.
