the upper woofer is active....the lower 2 are radiators
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These speakers have three identical LOOKING 6.5" speakers. BUT only the top one is the actual the woofer, the other two are the "passive radiators." They basically create additional bass notes from sonic energy that reflects inside the speaker box from the top woofer. Sounds like voodoo, but when done right you get extra bass at a low cost and no need for bigger amp power. These speakers get it right. Other speakers often utilize "ports" to put this wasted woofer energy to use. Polk chose not to use ports, and instead use passive radiators on this model....and it works nicely.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are two 6.5" passive radiators and one 6.5" woofer. I am not sure if the 6.5" woofer is positioned on top or in the middle. They do put out good balanced punchy bass for their small size.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The T-50 has 2-6.5" Passive radiators and 1-6.5" Midrange also 1-1" Tweeter. To answer your question the description and the pic. are correct... My mistake, I have a pair of T-15's. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. One is powered, the other two are passive radiators.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The speakers in the pic are not T-50's. I have a pair of T-50's and they have a 5-1/4 in. woofer and 1 in. tweeter. They handle 20-100 watts. The speakers in the pic. look like Polk Audio Tsx-440's or 550's.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.2 passive radiators
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.3
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The speakers contain two passive radiators and one speaker driver all of them are 6 1/2 inch in size.
